Shaped by Place: SAOTA Marks Forty Years of Architectural Practice
Opening at Brundyn Arts & Culture in Cape Town on 1 October 2026, Shaped by Place: 40 Years of Architectural Practice traces the thinking behind four decades of work by SAOTA, the first architectural practice to receive the SAIA Gold Medal for Architecture.
In Partnership with Poliform, the exhibition brings together architectural models, large-scale imagery and curated narratives to examine how place, collaboration, research and changing contexts have shaped the practice’s approach to architecture over four decades.
