Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac high on the slopes of Lion’s Head, the iconic mountain that forms part of Cape Town’s dramatic backdrop, this home’s position offered an opportunity to design a house for a rare and sought-after location. The site presents views in all directions, each with its own distinctive character: west over the ocean and Clifton’s famous chain of white beaches past Camp’s Bay and towards the Twelve Apostles; east (behind) with unobstructed views of Lion’s Head; to the south, a low ravine runs down the mountainside.
