The massive riverside site lies in a quiet, semi-rural enclave just outside Brisbane in an area known as “Fig Tree pocket”. SAOTA’s design response was a bold, muscular building that encloses a large central courtyard and radiates out into the surroundings to maximise river frontage and have a real presence on the site.
